Storytime for Kids

JG Danso and Esther Maria K invite kids young and old to an interactive bilingual storytelling session. A moment of black kids’ literature to empower, inspire and uplift into a world shaped by collective Black imagination. Bring your colouring kit for fun times. Suitable for 2+ years. All welcome.

The Black History Month series has been organised by Black People of Vienna group volunteers. All events are free.

Iketina Danso is an equality and human rights expert, poet and Chair of the intersectional queer cultural association hint.wien. She is also parenting three trilingual kids. Iketina loves the freedom a good book gives every child to build the world they want to see, in any language.

Mag.a.DSA Esther Maria Kürmayr is a social worker, anti-discrimination trainer and community builder. She is co-founder and Chair of the association Schwarze Frauen Community. Her expertise lies in counselling, training and self-empowerment; as well as children and youth projects.
